Listing Research Pack
For brokers, shipyards, owners and marketing teams.
A fact-checked history prepared for publication: what the record supports, phrased so it can be used in listing copy, press material, sales books and show presentations — with a source sheet behind every line.
What the work covers
Historically significant yachts are frequently described with claims no source supports. The pack separates the two: statements the archival record carries, and statements that circulate without evidence. Both are listed, so a team knows precisely what it can publish.
The material is written for working use — a concise identity and ownership timeline, build context, builder and designer background, and the restoration milestones that matter — with each line referenced back to its source.
Depth and turnaround are set against the publication timetable. Where an archive cannot be reached in time, that limitation is stated rather than filled with inference. Historical Yachts does not represent seller or buyer.

Deliverable
A PDF pack plus a plain-text fact sheet for copywriting: the verified history and timeline, build and design context, ownership and name changes where publishable, restoration chronology, a source sheet, and a separate list of claims that still require verification.
How findings are classified
- Documented fact
- Supported by a primary or archival source that is named and locatable.
- Reported claim
- Published or widely repeated, but without a primary source behind it.
- Conflicting source
- Two or more records disagree; both readings are given with their origin.
- Unverified detail
- Plausible but unsupported at the time of writing, and marked as such.
- Source citation
- Every statement carries its reference, including the archive or collection.
What this is not
- Not a technical survey
- Not a legal opinion
- Not a title guarantee
- Not a valuation certificate
Historical Yachts is an independent editorial and research project. It does not act as a yacht broker through these services, represents neither seller nor buyer, and cannot guarantee the completeness of third-party historical archives.
